I’m not a Ridley Scott Fan, honest.

Let’s just fix that AFI Top Ten Science Fiction List since it’s clearly broken:

#1: Alien
#2: Blade Runner
#3: 2001: A Space Odyssey
#4: STAR WARS
#5: The Day the Earth Stood Still
#6: A Clockwork Orange
#7: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
#8: RoboCop
#9: The Terminator
#10: John Carpenter’s The Thing

There, much better.

Yup. That’s better. I’d probably replace RoboCop with Starship Troopers remove A Clockwork Orange, put Cherry 2000 at #1 and move everything down a step.

Soon to be number one? SPACE MOUNTAIN

I would place Star Wars with Empire and The Terminator with T2. I wouldn’t bother fighting for Gattaca, of course.

REplace. And you are too a Ridley Scott fan! LIAR!

I’m not sure I’d even count ‘Clockwork’ as sci-fi. Maybe the Ludovico bit makes it sci-fi? I’m gonna name my kid ‘RoboCop.’ Thanks for including it. YOU BURNT THE FUCKING MONEY! You asshole! You stupid, stupid asshole!

There was a time when A Clockwork Orange was science fiction and not a documentary. The crumbling of society shown in that film had not yet been acknowledge in the UK or seen in the US at the time it first screened.
