The Rainwater Martini

A few weeks ago at the Comic Reel, I made a joke about drinking a Rainwater Martini during my weekend send-off. A recieved email from readers asking how it is made and why the recipe can’t be found on Google. After a few false starts, a reader named Colin Byrd offered the following recipe which is quite good and will be known as the Rainwater Martini.

1 ½ oz. Grey Goose vodka

1 ½ oz. Tanqueray Ten gin

2 thick slices of cucumber

Basil sprig for garnish

Muddle one cucumber slice in the bottom of your shaker.

Add vodka, gin, then ice.

Shake vigorously.

Rim martini glass with fresh basil.

Strain and pour martini into glass.

Garnish with second cucumber slice and basil sprig.
