Sights and Wonders

This is what history feels like.

And yet, that joy is tempered by a sadness. In the midst of our nation’s victory over its greatest shame, my home state has chosen fear and hate. Make no mistake. People only restrict the rights of others as a matter of hate.

However, we’ve seen that hate can be overcome. The world is a distinctly different place this morning and Hopelessness as a lifestyle choice is no longer viable. The restriction of rights will not last. It never does. As a matter of Western History, those that preach fear, hate, and repression eventually topple. The intolerance on display in California is only a reminder of the work that still needs to be done.

The Hope of Progress is alive today.
